The profession of security guard is regulated by the Private and Particular Security Act, published in the Belgian Official Gazette on October 31, 2017.

This law replaces the “Tobback” law of April 10, 1990, and notably defines the conditions for access to the security guard profession.

All security guards assigned to monitor your sites meet at least the following requirements:

Hold valid authorization to provide services issued by the Federal Public Service (FPS) Interior;

  • Have successfully completed the “Control of Persons” training (EXE10);
  • Be certified in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for fire safety and industrial first aid;
  • Undergo an annual refresher course, evaluated in fire risk management and industrial first aid — including evacuation (EIU) and the use of a defibrillator — and thus hold a recent refresher certificate;
  • Have a perfect command of the client site’s language; good knowledge of other national languages and English;
  • Present themselves excellently and demonstrate exemplary behavior;
  • Completed conflict management training;
  • Completed computer skills training (Microsoft Office suite);
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills: attentive listening, patience, and practicing positive, considerate communication.

All our agents hold a valid security guard identification card issued by the Private Security Directorate of the FPS Interior and possess the necessary certifications for their missions.
