Safety is a major concern at major events such as the Libramont Fair and the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix. These two emblematic events attract a total of 600,000 visitors, so it’s essential to guarantee their well-being and peace of mind throughout their experience. With over 750 people (350 security guards and 400 stewards) mobilised over 4 days and 600,000 visitors, this is THE biggest week of the year for Protection UNIT. Just a few weeks after the Feelgood Festival and Les Ardentes, all the teams at Liège-based Protection UNIT are on deck for what promises to be a particularly busy weekend.

SAFETY AT THE LIBRAMONT FAIR
The Libramont Fair, one of Europe’s biggest agricultural events, is characterised by its diversity and conviviality. However, behind this warm atmosphere, particular attention is paid to the safety of visitors. Trained and experienced security teams are present on site, constantly monitoring comings and goings, ready to intervene if necessary. Strict control measures are in place to prevent incidents and ensure a safe environment for all. In addition, a first-aid point is strategically located on the site to ensure rapid intervention in the event of medical need. A team of mobile staff completes the security arrangements.

SAFETY AT THE BELGIAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX
The Formula 1 Grand Prix is an international event that attracts over 400,000 spectators. Safety is an absolute priority for the organisers. Advanced security procedures are implemented in collaboration with local authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure the protection of spectators, drivers and all team members. Rigorous security checks are carried out at the entrance to the circuit, and surveillance measures are stepped up throughout the event.
