It’s confirmed: on the upcoming 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th of July, Protection UNIT will once again ensure the security of the Les Ardentes festival, where more than 200,000 festival-goers are expected!
“Les Ardentes” started in 2006 with a promising first edition over 3 days, attracting 25,000 festival-goers from all over Belgium to its site in Coronmeuse, Liège. Gradually, the festival expanded to 4 days, drawing increasingly renowned artists from various genres, including pop, rock, French chanson, and hip-hop. Over the years, the lineup has focused more on rap, making it an essential festival on a European scale for the many fans of this music style. In 2018 and 2019, Les Ardentes attracted 100,000 people, and the 2022 edition was the first on its new site in Rocourt, where it surpassed the milestone of 200,000 festival-goers for the first time.
The history of Protection UNIT and Les Ardentes is intertwined: we have been partners since day one and have grown together, with the same commitment to always providing the highest quality. One of the secrets to the success of this festival is that people feel safe everywhere and at all times, thanks to a great collaboration between our company, the organizers, the police forces, and local authorities.
At Les Ardentes, Protection UNIT mobilizes over 250 of our agents and 70 stewards in total to make this long weekend festival absolutely perfect. We offer tailored security coupled with a sense of hospitality that defines our brand, allowing us to combine vigilance with friendliness.
During this weekend, which turns Liège into the capital of rap, Protection Unit also leverages new technologies in service of human safety: masts equipped with connected cameras for 360° surveillance of every corner of the site, a tethered drone for wide and precise monitoring, and cameras everywhere to support our agents! With Central Cee, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, DJ Snake, and many other artists whose names are gradually being revealed, the 2024 edition promises to be a success!
