Belgium’s leading security company, Protection UNIT, acquires Salus Group, a key player in the Port of Antwerp.
As part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in Flanders, Protection UNIT, Belgium’s number one security company, announces the acquisition of Salus Group, a firm particularly active in the ports of Antwerp and Ghent. With an excellent reputation and strong financial health, Salus Group also serves clients in industrial and mobile surveillance.
This acquisition allows Protection UNIT to establish a physical presence in Antwerp, at the heart of one of Flanders’ major economic hubs. With offices now in Brussels, Flanders, and Wallonia, the company achieves full national coverage—offering significant advantages in both business development and recruitment.
“This acquisition also gives us a strong foothold within the Port of Antwerp,” states the company. “It’s a strategic position on a site requiring heavy security reinforcement to support law enforcement in the fight against organized crime (drug trafficking, human smuggling, etc.), intrusions, and theft. Scorpions, an event security company owned by the same shareholders as Salus Group, is also being acquired by Protection UNIT. Already a major player in event security across Belgium, Protection UNIT will retain all Scorpions staff and provide the human, material, and technological resources needed to meet growing demand.
