This winter, flu symptoms (fever, muscle aches, feverish state) are back, leading to a significant influx of patients, especially among the most vulnerable. Since Christmas, emergency services have been overwhelmed. Protection UNIT is therefore present to ensure safety, ease tensions, and ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
“The situation we are observing in Brussels is similar to that in the rest of Belgium. Emergency services are overwhelmed everywhere, whether in Wallonia, Brussels, or Flanders,” explained the vice-president of the Federation of Emergency Nurses (La Libre, January 8).
These patients add to the usual cases (accidents, assaults, other illnesses…), causing longer wait times in the emergency rooms. Going to the emergency room is not a pleasant experience, and we are here to ensure that everything happens as peacefully as possible.”
